Trying to live love well through the power of the Everlasting.
A new baby.

Posted by on A little over a year ago, my sister had twin girls. Two months later my sister-in-law had a boy. So I’ve been an uncle for a year now.
I haven’t really seen much of the nieces and nephew, as both families live hundreds of miles away. But I’ve seen lots of videos and pictures. And when they have come up to visit, I’ve held them and sung to them and played with them and fed them. I’ve passed them off to their parents after they fell asleep on my shoulder, and I’ve felt the damp spots where they drooled or cried through my shirts.
I love them. I hope I get to see them a whole lot more in the future.
And now there’s another little nephew. My sister had a son. My nieces have a little brother. And I’ve seen and heard, through an iPod screen, him sleeping and crying in real time.
I can’t wait to see him in real life.
Woot! Congrats!
Thanks!
My nieces are miles and miles aways too ….. every moment I get with them is like magic! I think being an Aunt or Uncle teaches you so so so much about life becuase lets face it…. it’s an important job .. being one of those people they learn from and look up to ….. 🙂
It’s intimidating, isn’t it?! I love it!
